Main Street Wetumpka Facade Grant Program
The Main Street Wetumpka Facade Grant Program was created to support exterior improvements that enhance curb appeal, strengthen the character of downtown Wetumpka, and create more welcoming spaces for residents and visitors. Through this program, eligible property and business owners within the Main Street District received reimbursement grant funding for approved facade improvement projects.
For the 2025/2026 program year, Main Street Wetumpka awarded 14 grants to downtown businesses and property owners, helping fund projects including exterior painting, facade restoration, signage improvements, awning replacement, window tinting, and window and door clings. These improvements contributed to the continued revitalization of the Main Street District and enhanced the overall appearance of downtown Wetumpka.
Thanks to funding support from Main Street Alabama, Main Street Wetumpka invested $10,000 into downtown facade improvements through this matching grant program. In total, the program generated $25,647.50 in facade investments throughout the district, including $15,647.50 contributed directly by participating business and property owners. These projects not only improved individual buildings, but also strengthened the overall appearance and economic vitality of downtown Wetumpka.
The Facade Grant Program is one more way Main Street Wetumpka continues investing in the preservation and revitalization of our downtown district, one facade at a time. PRESS RELEASE: Progress on Facade Grant Program Jan 2026
