BRIGHT IDEAS is powered by ALSPARK, a new Main Street Alabama initiative to energize emerging and growing businesses in Designated Main Street Alabama Districts across the state. Illuminate is supported by funding from the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Congratulations to our Bright Ideas Winners! We’re thrilled to celebrate three businesses whose creativity and innovation will enhance Wetumpka’s downtown business community!

 

As the $5,000 winner of the Bright Ideas contest, The Shoppes Downtown is expanding with a brand-new section just for men (and the women who shop for them)! Stay tuned—the new space is set to open Spring of 2025!

The check was presented to owners Pam and Katie by Main Street Wetumpka board members April Hunt, Sarah Sommerville, and Clay McConnell.

Nick of Thyme, Oil & Vinegar has been awarded $3,000 through the Bright Ideas contest! Big things are coming as they expand to offer private cooking demonstrations and special events, bringing even more flavor and creativity to downtown Wetumpka!

A $2,000 Bright Ideas win means growth is on the horizon for For Healthy Pets Wetumpka! While details are still in the works, this award will help enhance their offerings and continue their mission of supporting happy, healthy pets in our community.
